Look Good Feel Better Workshop, June 4, 2018

The American Cancer Society designed this program for women dealing with hair loss and skin changes from chemotherapy and radiation. Presenters will provide specific treatment techniques to help ladies look their best while undergoing treatment. All who register more than five days prior to the event will receive a makeup package valued at $200. To register, call 1-800-227-2345.

 

Oncology Symposium, June 27, 2018

As part of MVH's continuing education program for medical professionals, the hospital is hosting its Annual Oncology Symposium. Physicians will receive 4.0 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours and nurses will receive 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU) for attending. Featured topics will be presented by national oncology experts. The education program is also open to the public and reservations are required. To make a reservation, call 724-258-1750.

Ducoeur Walk, October 13, 2018

This 1- or 2-mile fun walk that supports the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer in our community at Monongahela Valley Hospital. In addition to the walk, the event features fellowship, entertainment, tribute lamppost ribbons, promotional items, refreshments, a basket auction, raffles, dancing, vendors, and children's activities. We celebrate survivors and remember those that have lost their battle with breast cancer. More than $40,000 was raised from community members, teams, hospital employees, community businesses and survivors as part of this event in 2017. Learn more.

 

Breast Cancer Screening, October 27, 2018

Learn how early detection and diagnosis can protect you and those you love from breast cancer. Physicians will present the program and offer informational displays. Participants may also receive a free breast exam. Registration is required by calling 724-258-1333.
